Our breathing patterns are constantly changing. When we feel calm, we breathe with ease, when we feel fear, it shifts. Our breath changes automatically to reflect our current state-- of mind, thoughts, emotions, the environments we're in. We may hold and constrict our breath during a particularly stressful moment or when we wish to suppress difficult emotions, for example.
Working intentionally with the breath can bring about significant change to our natural breathing pattern and thus our state of Being. In this breathwork & meditation offering, we'll practice a breathing technique together and then use breath as the vehicle toward relaxation, combined with thoughtful transmissions collected across the spectrum of human wisdom teachings; from Rumi & Ruiz to Yung Pueblo & Andrea Gibson, and all points in between!
With breath as the anchor, we'll come to the mat for gentle, guided breathwork techniques and meditations (((or considerations))) from famous & obscure writers on the spiritual path. Think grown up story time, with a brain boosting, heart expanding twist, for you to Breathe & Receive!
Each class will last 45-60 minutes, most of which will be lying down on a yoga mat. Kindred Waters Collective has many mats & bolsters, but you may want to bring your own. Wear comfy clothes & bring your own water bottle. Includes cuppa tea!

Somatic R/evolution is a trauma informed movement practice offering a dynamic, multi-faceted approach to cultivating healing, nervous system regulation & emotional resiliency.
Present moment awareness of our felt sense (bodily knowing) becomes available to us when we release the emotional charge stored in the body, from the accumulation of all the narratives we hold on to about who we are, what we can & can't do, and what has happened to us along our path.
A curated playlist will guide us through an hourish of breath work, meditations, somatic postures, inspired devotionals, and expressive movement, helping us to experience ourselves as sovereign, whole, & embodied.
Working from the "bottom up", we use the body as the entry point to healing rather than engaging with the stories in the mind (the traditional top down method used in psychotherapy).
These classes are fun, innovative & non-invasive, as we don't engage with the mind or what we think about how we feel. Instead, we drop the stories while we learn to get curious about what the body holds, feels, knows. Through this practice we can:
This method can be modified to any body type and ability. You do not need any prior knowledge or experience to participate. This is for anyone with a body & a nervous system! Wear comfortable clothing & consider layers to shed when you get warm. Bring your water bottle and an open mind! Ages 12+ welcome. Under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/ guardian.
***I am a new teacher & hoping to practice with as many people as I can, so these classes are donation based at this time. (I have been a bodyworker since 2001 so I am not new to understanding & supporting you with body based practices!)

The intention of this monthly women's circle is to simply connect; with our bodies & with each other, through breath, somatic movement, & sharing what we want to celebrate, cultivate & release in our lives, harnessing the potency of the 13 full moons of the Lunar Year. We'll gather each month on the night of the full moon, in circle, weaving our stories with music & reflective exercises that ask us to listen to the wisdom of our bodies & invite us to howl & shake as we release what no longer serves & call in what we need. Completing and beginning a cycle in circle helps us create rituals that honor our own cycles as well as those of the Earth & Sky, as our ancestors once did, leading us to make contact with the Sacred, as you, through you, to you-- and with all that is Sacred. As above, so below, as within, so without. Bring a friend or come alone & make new ones!
